Proposed Legislation

By Gerald

The proposal found in the provided link is a good proposal and one of the proposals that I have recommended whether it is through the revamped Office of the Appeals Advisor or to have a total separate body staffed by lawyers who are experts who would represent workers throughout what for most workers is a complicated process that no one understands including the Government who enact legislation, the BoD who enact policy, Case Managers, DRDRB, the AC and the medical profession who still believe that chronic pain is subjective and they do not have to provide impairment ratings for chronic pain without objective medical findings. The only problem with the proposal is that it should apply to all workers and not just policeman which makes it discriminatory, just as discriminatory legislation providing presumptive status is for some workers and not for all workers.
